Chartrand et Simonne
Chartrand et Simonne is a French-Canadian television mini-series which aired in 2000, exclusively on Radio-Canada. The series originally only had two parts but it was expanded into 6 parts and re-aired in 2003 on Télé-Québec. Currently, Télé-Québec airs the program on a regular basis. The series won a Gemini Award in 2000 for Best Make-up/Hair.
Plot
The series tells the true story of Michel Chartrand and Simonne Monet, perhaps the most influential couple in the history of Quebec. We see the life of the two militants who fought for justice and later on, their children who grow up. In all, it revives their social upheavals which gave tremendous significance to the history of Quebec during three decades.
