Carterornis is a genus of bird in the Monarchidae family. They are found in Australia and Melanesia.
Taxonomy and systematics
Carterornis was created in 2009 when three species were split from the genus Monarcha, although this revised taxonomical arrangement is not yet recognized by all authorities.[1]

- White-naped monarch (Carterornis pileatus)
- Golden monarch (Carterornis chrysomela)
