Bren Simmers is a Canadian poet. She is the author of two collections of poetry, Night Gears (Wolsak and Wynn, 2010),[1] and Hastings-Sunrise (Nightwood Editions, 2015).[2]
Born in Vancouver, she studied writing at the University of Victoria and has a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia. She is the winner of an Arc Poetry Magazine Poem of the Year Award,[3] a finalist for The Malahat Review Long Poem Prize and was shortlisted for the Bronwen Wallace Memorial Award. She currently lives in Squamish, BC.
