William Edward Reid (April 10, 1977 in Victoria, British Columbia [1]) is a Canadian television and podcasting personality. He is famous for his music and comedy videos on the World Wide Web and especially for his children's videos under the name "Pancake Manor." Billy Reid is also a musician, filmmaker, and TV host.

Billy Reid's online videos range from comical music videos to animations that have been seen over 500 million times. He holds the distinction of being the first Canadian to ever be asked to edit the YouTube homepage.[2] He chose mostly Canadian artists, including Abdominal (rapper)
His collaboration with YouTubers Rhett and Link for "T-Shirt War" garnered national attention.[3] Following the success of the original, Reid and the original crew were hired to produce a national television and cinema spot for Coca-Cola and McDonalds. He created the art and animation, as well as the sound design for both videos.[4]
Billy has also collaborated with other online personalities, including Michael Buckley, Rhett and Link, Joe Penna, Charles Trippy, Dave Days, and iJustine
Television
Billy Reid is among the first group of internet personalities to make a transition from the internet into network television.[5] Along with Lara Doucette of Tiki Bar TV, Billy hosted the short-lived series Exposure, a show that featured the best viral videos from the internet, part of the 2007 summer/fall lineup on the CBC.[6]
Billy has also collaborated with American comedians Rhett and Link to Brink, hosted by Josh Zepps, on the Science Channel. They created three music videos, such as "Space Junk," "Robot Girlfriend," and "The SETI Song." He created original art and animation for all three videos, and co-wrote "The SETI Song."
Billy's work has appeared on MTV, The Comedy Network, VH1's Best Week Ever, Sketch with Kevin McDonald, CBC On Demand, Gemini Awards and The Science Channel.
Music
On June 7, 2009, Billy Reid (under his pseudonym "Very Tasteful") independently released Very Tasteful : Vol 1, an online comedy album the featuring the popular song Lip Syncing to The Song.[7]
On June 15, 2009, Billy Reid independently released "The Sights & The Sounds", a collection of his pop songs featuring the title track The Sights & The Sounds[8]
On Sept 11, 2012, Billy released "Pancake Manor", his first children's music album, featuring the popular songs Shapes and Let's Count 123.[9] The album is available on iTunes Store and Amazon.
On Jan 30, 2014, Billy released "Two", his second children's music album, featuring the popular songs Count to 10 and Pancake Party.[10] The album is available on iTunes Store, Amazon, Spotify, and most online music stores.
On Nov 19, 2014, Billy released "Colors!", his first themed children's music album. This is his third album for the online series "Pancake Manor."[11] The album is available on iTunes Store, Amazon, Spotify, and most online music stores.
He is also a freelance music composer. Some of his clients include MTV, CBC Television, Kellogg's, and Public Mobile.
