Big Rig Records is a vanity label founded in 1994 by The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. The label started as a means for the band to release their own recordings, but also ended up releasing material by other punk bands, including Sum 41, as well.
While the label issues new material, some of their releases are releases of albums that were released on both labels. For example, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones' Let's Face It was released by Mercury Records but Big Rig also released the vinyl edition of the album. The label has been distributed by which ever label the band has been on. Currently, Big Rig is run exclusively by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, making it an independent record label.
Big Rig Records is also the name of an Australian independent record label founded in 1999 focusing on digital releases of alternative, eclectic and instrumental music.
