The Bhutta are a group found in Pakistan and India. They may be classified as either Jat[1] or Rajput.[2] They are predominantly Muslim with large Hindu and small Sikh minorities respectively.

Sherbaz Khan Mazari, a politician, says that Bhutta Rajputs are descended from the Bhutta who migrated to Sindh, just as Soomro Rajputs in the Punjab are known as Soomra.[3]
