Bernadette-Cynthia Szőcs (born March 5, 1995 in Târgu Mureş)[2] is a Romanian professional table tennis player of Hungarian descent, who is regarded as one of the best players in the ITTF Junior Circuit.[3] Although still eligible to play in the junior age category for two years, she also takes part on senior events and is member of the Romanian senior team, with them she finished runner-up of the Table Tennis European Championships in the year 2011.

She won World Junior Circuit event in Argentina, overtaking Kasumi Ishikawa to reach the top spot in the competition series. She became senior singles champion of Romania in 2012.[4]

As of 4 July 2012, she is ranked 5th in the ITTF World Junior Circuit.[5]

Personal

She has an older brother, Hunor, who is also a table tennis player. Their father and manager plays on keyboard in the rock band Autostop MS.[6]
