Belper United Football Club is a football club based in Belper, Derbyshire, England. They are currently members of the East Midlands Counties League and play at Borrowash Road in Spondon.
History
A Belper United was established in the 1920s, but folded in the 1940s.[1] The modern club was established in 1969 by a merger of Milford Sports and Belper Park Rangers.[1]
By the early 1980s the club was playing in the East Midlands Regional League.[2] They subsequently played in the Midlands Regional Alliance. Despite finishing bottom of the Premier Division in 2008–09, the club were not relegated to Division One.[3] In 2010 they switched to the South Division of the Central Midlands League.[4] In 2014–15 they won the Central Midlands League Floodlight Cup, beating Clay Cross Town 3–2 in the final.[5] After finishing as runners-up in the South Division in 2015–16, the club were promoted to the East Midlands Counties League.
