Bayernkurier

Bayernkurier is a German weekly political and news magazine.[1] The magazine is based in Munich and has been published since 1950.

History and profile

Bayernkurier was first published on 3 June 1950.[2] Franz Josef Strauß was the founding editor-in-chief of the magazine.[2] It is associated with the Christian Social Union in Bavaria.[3][4] The magazine is published by a company with the same name[2] and has a right-wing political stance.[4] The headquarters is in Munich.[3]

The circulation of Bayernkurier was 79,000 copies in 2005, 66,900 copies in 2006 and 65,800 copies in 2007.[5] It rose to 74,300 copies in 2008, but fell to 68,300 copies in 2009.[5] It further fell to 60,800 copies in 2010.[5]
