Bauru Atlético Clube, commonly known as Bauru, was a Brazilian football club based in Bauru, São Paulo state.
History
The club was founded on May 1, 1919,[1] as Luzitana Futebol Clube. Bauru won the Campeonato Paulista do Interior de Futebol in 1946, Pelé's father, Dondinho, was part of the winning squad.[1] Pelé started his career playing for Bauru.[2] The club folded in the 1960s, a few years after Pelé left the club.[2]
Stadium
Bauru Atlético Clube played their home games at Arena Lusitana.
