Barry Abrams (Belarusian: Бары Абрамс; born March 4, 1954 in Minsk, Belarus) is an American trainer in the sport of Thoroughbred horse racing.
When he was young, his family left Minsk at a time when it was part of the Soviet Union. They first relocated in Poland but then moved to Israel in 1961. Two years later they emigrated to the United States and settled in Burbank, California.
Barry Abrams graduated from the California State University, Los Angeles with a degree in business but an enthusiasm for harness racing led him to embark on a career in 1978 as a trainer of standardbred horses. In 1990, Abrams switched to working with Thoroughbred horses and in 1993 went out on his own.
