Barr-Reeve Junior/Senior High School is a public school located in Montgomery, Indiana serving Barr and Reeve Townships and is located in southeastern Daviess County. The school is a consolidation of Alfordsville and Montgomery High Schools and opened in 1965.
The Indiana Department of Education gave Barr-Reeve an 'A' letter grade for their elementary, high school, and corporation wide achievement in 2013 and 2014.[5]
Athletics
The school's athletic mascot is the Vikings, and it participates in the Blue Chip Conference. Barr-Reeve is an Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) Class 2A school. Barr-Reeve has won two state championships. The volleyball team won the 2013-14 state championship and the basketball team won the 2014-15 state championship.[6]
