Ballinode (Irish: Béal Átha an Fhóid) is a village situated some 6 km (3.7 miles) from Monaghan Town and 3 km (1.8 miles) from Scotstown in County Monaghan, Ireland. The village straddles the River Blackwater and has a Church of Ireland church with clock tower, cemetery, and church hall; one public house,and a takeaway Big Bite. There also is an Astroturf football pitch in the heart of the village which attracts all ages to come and participate in soccer matches.
On the road in Ballinode
"On the road in Ballinode" was an annual festival held in Ballinode throughout the 1990s. It attracted visitors from all over the county and had attractions such as cart racing, amusements and canoeing races on the river.

- Monaghan Music and Piano Centre - situated a mile outside the village of Ballinode and is home to the largest piano store in Ireland; specialising in pianos but also selling a range of other musical instruments.[1]
