Babu Banarasi Das University, Lucknow is a state private university in BBD City, Dr. Akhilesh Das Nagar, Faizabad Road, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India established by Babu Banarasi Das University Uttar Pradesh Act No. 25 of 2010 passed by Uttar Pradesh State Legislature & is approved under Section - 2(f) and Section - 22(1) of UGC Act, 1956.[1]

- 1998 - Establishment of BBDNITM, Lucknow, Approval by AICTE and first batch of BBDNITM, Lucknow admitted in affiliation with Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra
- 1999 - Establishment of NIEC, Lucknow, Approval by AICTE and first batch of NIEC, Lucknow admitted in affiliation with Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra
- 2000 - Establishment of Uttar Pradesh Dental College & Research Center (UPDCRC), Lucknow, Approval by DCI and first batch of UPDCRC, Lucknow admitted in affiliation with Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra. Affiliation of BBDNITM, Lucknow & NIEC, Lucknow for courses approved by AICTE with Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow. Rest of the courses retain affiliation with Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra
- 2007 - Establishment of Babu Banarasi Das Educational Society Group of Institutions Faculty of Engineering (BBDESGIFOE), Lucknow, Approval by AICTE & first batch of BBDESGIFOE, Lucknow admitted in affiliation with Uttar Pradesh Technical University / GBTU, Lucknow
- 2011 - Babu Banarasi Das University, Lucknow admits first batch. UPDCRC, Lucknow re-christened as Babu Banarasi Das College of Dental Sciences (BBDCODS), Lucknow by approval from Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India & included as a faculty of Babu Banarasi Das University, Lucknow. NIEC, Lucknow & BBDESGIFOE, Lucknow re-christened as Babu Banarasi Das Northern India Institute of Technology (BBDNIIT), Lucknow & Babu Banarasi Das Engineering College (BBDEC), Lucknow respectively. BBDNITM, Lucknow, BBDNIIT, Lucknow & BBDEC, Lucknow retain their affiliation with UPTU, Lucknow. Establishment of newly built & constructed School of Engineering a faculty of Babu Banarasi Das University, Lucknow.

Dr. Akhilesh Das Stadium

Dr. Akhilesh Das Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium of the Babu Banarasi Das University located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
The stadium has a capacity to accommodate more than 20,000 spectators. The stadium is approved by BCCI to hold first-class level and is regularly used for Ranji Trophy matches every year.
