Baala Bandhana is a 1971 Indian Kannada language romantic drama film directed by Peketi Sivaram. It stars Rajkumar and Jayanthi in the lead roles.[1] The film was a remake of A. Bhimsingh's Tamil film Padikkadha Medhai (1960) and was produced under ALS Productions. It had a very successful soundtrack composed by G. K. Venkatesh. It could not meet the success of Tamil and Telugu versions.The reason attributed was that the audience felt Sampath could not match the performance of S.V.Rangarao.[2]

Soundtrack
The music of the film was composed by G. K. Venkatesh and lyrics for the soundtrack written by Chi. Udaya Shankar and Vijaya Narasimha. All the songs were received very well. The duet "Chinnadanta Naadige" became hugely popular upon release.
