Aulus Caecina

Aulus Caecina was the Roman general in charge of the Roman army of Germania Inferior during the mutiny of 14 AD[1] and the subsequent Roman retaliation campaign (from 1416 AD) against a Germanic alliance in the aftermath of the disaster at the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest. The first and twentieth legions were under his command.[2] In 15 AD Caecina was awarded triumphal honours for his military achievements against the Germans that year.[3]
