Arif Beg

Arif Baig (c. 1935 – September 5, 2016) was a federal Indian minister (1977–1980) and a Bharatiya Janta Party leader.[1][2] He hails from Madhya Pradesh state. He had left the party in 1996 however returned to it in 2003.[3] In 1977 he ran for parliament on the Bharatiya Lok Dal ticket from Bhopal and won the seat. In 1989 he was elected to the Lok Sabha from the Betul constituency. Beg died on September 5, 2016 in Bhopal at the age of 81.[4]
