Anton Joseph von Prenner (1683 – 1761) was an Austrian painter and engraver.
Prenner was born in Wallerstein and is best known for his encyclopedic Theatrum Artis Pictoriae.[1] He collaborated on this project with Andreas Altaumont, Frauas, Stampart and Johann Adam Schmutzer on the production of engravings for the imperial collection of Vienna in the Stallburg, which included 160 plates published in four volumes between 1728 and 1733.[1]

He also painted frescoes in the 1720s for Walther Franz Xaver Anton, Prince of Dietrichstein in his renovated castle (later burned in World War II). His son Georg Caspar Prenner also became a painter. Prenner died in Vienna.
