Anthony J. Lobello, Jr. (born 1984 in Tallahassee, Florida) is an Italian short track speed skater who competed in the 2006 Olympics and will participate in the qualifying event[1] to take place in Marquette, Michigan September 8–12, 2009, for the 2010 Olympics.
With only three years of speed skating experience prior to the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Torino, Italy, Lobello surprised the field and made the team. He is the highest ranking American (7th) in the 500-meter event for the 2008-2009 World Cup season, which places him ahead of the gold medalist Apolo Anton Ohno.
Lobello was named Colorado's Red-Hot Bachelor by Cosmopolitan magazine in 2005.[2] In addition to all of this, Lobello is an undergraduate student at the University of Utah, majoring in Communications and maintaining a 3.6 GPA.
Anthony Lobello is 27 and is currently living in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is also considering to come back to Marquette, Michigan to train for the 2014 Olympics.
