Andy Flores Noya, or an simply called as Andy F. Noya (born November 6, 1960) is an Indonesian journalist and presenter. Noya is Ambon-Javanese-Dutch-Portuguese descent and is an alumni of Institut Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Jakarta of Journalism Student Association department.
Career
Noya began his debut career as reporter when he helped the magazine Tempo to publish a book, titled Apa dan Siapa Orang Indonesia in 1985. In the same year, Noya was invited by Grafitipers leader, Lukman Setiawan, to join the published economic daily Bisnis Indonesia and also several magazines and newspapers by other businessman, such as Media Indonesia by Surya Paloh and Seputar Indonesia by Djafar Assergaf, helping to smooth the transition process to channel RCTI.
In 2000 when obtaining a license of broadcasting by Metro TV, Noya returned as editor in chief. Three years later, in 2003, Noya also returned to Media Indonesia as an editor. Noya was also asked, at the same time, to replace Metro TV' chief editor, Don Bosco Selamun, when he retired in 2003.
After that, Noya began studying journalism, and he was appointed as host of the 2006 talkshow Kick Andy. Noya has twice wom awards in 2010 and 2011 in the category of Favorite News/Current Affairs at Panasonic Gobel Awards.
In addition, Noya has also played in his debut film which was directed by Monty Tiwa, Aku Ingin Ibu Pulang (2016), although he only appeared as guest star.[1]
