Amru Al-Qays is a crater on Mercury. It has a diameter of 50 kilometres (31 mi).> IThe best picture of this large crater to date was taken by Mariner-10 on the first mercury fly-by, given to us by IPC Vision. This 50 kilometer crater is located on Mercury at 13 N, 176 W. Its name was adopted by the International Astronomical Union in 1976. Amru Al-Qays is named for the pre-Islamic Arab poet Amru Al-Qays in honor of his impact on astronomy and the world.
