Alpagut is a small town in Mihalgazi district of Eskişehir Province, Turkey. (Alpagut is an old Turkic phrase meaning holy warrior) It is situated to the south of Sakarya River at 40°01′N 30°30′E / 40.017°N 30.500°E. The distance to Mihalgazi is 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) and to Eskişehir is 32 kilometres (20 mi) The population of the town was 809.[1] as of 2012. Main economic sector of the town is fruit farming. (pomegranate figs plums grapes etc.)[2]
