Allan Basbaum
Allan Irwin Basbaum PhD, FRS is a Canadian born medical researcher, and professor and chair of the Department of Anatomy University of California, San Francisco.[1][2] He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He is a member of the Institute of Medicine.[3] and a Fellow of the Royal Society in the United Kingdom. From 2003 to 2012 he was Editor-in-Chief of Pain, the journal of the International Association for the Study of Pain.
