Alice Cornelia Thaw (January 2, 1880 – May 8, 1955) was an American philanthropist and, upon her marriage to George Seymour, 7th Marquess of Hertford, the Countess of Yarmouth.[1]
Early life
Thaw was born on January 2, 1880 to William Thaw, Sr. and Mary Sibbet Copley. She was the younger sister of Harry Kendall Thaw.
Marriages
On April 27, 1903 she married George Seymour, 7th Marquess of Hertford in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.[2][3] Their marriage was annulled in 1908 on the grounds of non-consummation.[4]
In 1913 she married Geoffrey George Whitney, Sr.[5]
Death
Thaw died on May 8, 1955.[1]
