Air Combat 22 (エアーコンバット 22 Eā Konbatto 22) is a flight simulator arcade game, released by Namco in 1995; it is the arcade sequel to Air Combat in the Ace Combat series, and was named Air Combat "22" because it runs on Namco's Super System 22 hardware.
Gameplay
Players can control one of three aircraft, namely the Grumman F-14 Tomcat, Sukhoi Su-27 and the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor, with the last being proposed at the time the game was released. It was available as either a conversion kit for the original Namco System 21 Air Combat cabinet, or a dedicated deluxe cabinet (measuring 78" high, 43" wide and 111" deep).
