History
Prior to the Partition of India, Adhwal was inhabited by Sikhs. Gold was discovered near the village, but the village economy is still largely agricultural.

Source of income
This area is mainly agricultural. Production of Wheat is significant. Mainly, inhabitants of Adhwal rely on harvesting and agriculture is the only source through which they are living their lives. There are teachers as well in this village but mainly people are farmers.
