Adem Arda Atay (born 8 December 1985[1] in Cambridge) is a Turkish and English professional footballer who currently plays for Ipswich Wanderers F.C.
Club career
He trained at the Fenerbahçe academy and then Ipswich Town F.C. He was on the books at Ipswich Town F.C., where in 2004-5 he was given a first team squad number, yet never made an appearance for the club, his only professional team to date in this country. He plays as a right winger.
In September 2007, he was on trials with Bury F.C. and played in a reserves game against Manchester City which he also scored in. However, he failed to earn a contract with them as manager Chris Casper didn't think he was better than the players they have.
In January 2008, Atay joined Sarıyer G.K. in the TFF Second League on an 18-month contract. However, he only appeared in one league match for the club before leaving for Tepecik B.S. of the TFF Third League in August 2008.[2]
Atay has signed for the 2010/11 season for Eastern Counties Football League Division One side, Ipswich Wanderers F.C.
