The Milkmen came back in the third period to cut the deficit to four, 80-84, but Swift immediately responded to the uprising as Vergel Meneses and Nelson Asaytono went to work, the Meaties opened leads of 19 points, 108-89 in the fourth quarter.[1]
Game 6
Swift came back from 17 points down in the first quarter to take a 63-62 lead on a short stab by import Herb Jones midway in the third period, that turned out to be the Meaties' last taste of the lead as Alaska launched a decisive 16-0 run that broke their backs as the Milkmen zoomed to a 78-63 advantage at the end of the third quarter.[2]
