Çetin Alp
Çetin Alp (June 21, 1947, Malatya — May 18, 2004, Istanbul) was a Turkish pop music singer. Çetin Alp & The Short Waves performed Turkey's entry, Opera, in the Eurovision Song Contest 1983 in Munich, West Germany. Alp came joint last, alongside Spain's Remedios Amaya, scoring nul points. Çetin Alp died three days after the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 final, in the host city, Istanbul.
